Friday at Revolution, featuring Village Bicycle, The Chaperones, Man vs Movie, Lombard, and The Armando w/???

  • Raven Playhouse 5233 Lankershim Boulevard North Hollywood, CA, 91601 United States (map)

Another week, another amazing line-up of exceptional improv teams:

  • 8:00pm - THE VILLAGE BICYCLE and THE CHAPERONESThe Village Bicycle is a group of veteran female improvisers formerly of iOWest, now citizens of the world. Collectively they’ve been improvising for 1,200 years, yet they could easily play late early/mid-20’s in your web-series. The Chaperones are all improvisers who happen to be over 40. They perform their original form inspired by the string of pearls opening. The audience is drawn in by grounded scenes followed by controlled chaos and references from way back when.
  • 9:00pm - MAN VS MOVIE and LOMBARDMan vs Movie (the world's only one-man improvised movie) is a one man show with a cast of thousands. Veteran improviser Paul Vaillancourt takes a single suggestion of a line of poetry or a lyric from a song and, using that as his jumping off point, improvises an entire feature film right before your very eyes including everything you would see in a big budget Hollywood movie - camera angles, plot, characters, special effects and more. Lombard is a fondue of seasoned Los Angeles lady improvisers. Doing bits and pieces. Once you see them, you'll just get it.
  • 10:00pm - THE ARMANDO SHOW with ???. A long-running improv staple, a highly-seasoned team of improvisers pair up with a guest storyteller to share a life story with the audience, then use that story to inspire a collection of artful, funny, thoughtful expansions on the source before returning for more stories.
    • GUEST ARMANDO: ??? - Ooooh, mysteries are fun!

How about that? You ready for another intense week? We sure are!
